NEW POST! Trying To Break The Cycle

Good afternoon, y’all!
Hey y’all! Hope you are having a warm and cozy start to your day! Today I have some country music in the background with a cup of hot cocoa in hand. Grab a seat and lets chat!

Wednesday 12/17

Today I got up, started on laundry, grabbed something to eat and started writing the blog for today. After I was done with the post, I started on picking up and cleaning the house. I finished the laundry, cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom and the living room. Not all the time I want to clean or pick up, but I did today so I took full advantage of that mind set.

When the entire house was cleaned and picked up, I got some lunch. I made some hot dogs and sat on the couch to enjoy them. And with sittin’ on the couch with the TV goin’, that just started something I should not have done. Which was sit in front of the TV for way to long. That was broken when Hubby asked me to help with some work stuff. I talked about this a little bit in yesterday’s newsletter (sign up at the bottom of this page if you want to get more content from me!) but I want to stop staring at screens and do more of my hobbies. Read, crochet, draw, paint, etc. Today was actually when I realized that, but it was too late.

I helped Hubby with his things, we came back home, had some dinner and when it was time, we got ready and went to bed.

Not much happened today, thanks to the TV, but I hope to break that cycle soon. It won’t happen in a day, but I hope it does soon.

Thursday 12/18

Today I got up and grabbed something to eat. Usually on newsletter days I’ll get right to writing, but today I forgot it was one of those days. That came later in my day, unfortunately.

After I ate something for breakfast, I went to the couch and hung out for a bit. Nothin’ new but still trying to break the cycle. After hanging out for a bit, I went to my parents’ house. With Hubby’s new and growing business, we wanted to have a little office set up at our kitchen table. I had mentioned this to my dad, and he said to come over and he would hook me up with everything I needed. I am so grateful to my parents for giving these things to us. They haven’t only done that for us but have also done little things for us. So thankful for them!

When I got to my parents, I hung out with my brother, and we tried to find all of the cables I would need. My dad got to the house shortly after and helped me with what few things I would have to buy that they didn’t have extras of. One of those things was a mouse pad and I really want to share it with y’all because it is so cute! Here is the link to it! When my dad had to leave, my brother and I said bye and he left. For the nest few hours my brother and I hung out and talked. It was so nice being able to hang out with my brother after it being so long sense we could.

When it was time, I left my parents and went back home. This is when I realized I had to post a newsletter for today. I wrote it out and got it sent out. Yes, it ended up being late, but at least I got it out that day and didn’t post nothin’.

After writing, I decided to go away from the TV and jump into a book. I read Sunrise On The Reaping. I started rereading this book a few months ago but didn’t finish it. It was so nice reading and not straining my eyes staring into the obis we call the TV. After reading some, I started on dinner. Tonight’s dinner was Costco Orange Chicken. It is one of the easiest things to make for a meal and it is so good. I make the chicken according to the packaging, then make some rice with vegetables for the side. It doesn’t take long to make this and it tastes to good every time.

After eating, I realized I couldn’t read anymore. I was too tired and couldn’t enjoy the read. So I put on some true crime and had that in the background while I closed my eyes. And when it was time, Hubby and I got ready and went to bed.

A Little Encouragement

Today’s Bible verse is Isaiah 9:6:
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Pease.”

Quick Heads Up

Because this next week is Christmas week (Dec. 21-27th), I will not be posting any blogs throughout the week. Even though I just write for this, I still think it is good to take some time off to rest. I am sure all y’all understand. For the first post that I will be back (Dec. 29th) I won’t do a detailed post of everyday of the week I took off. I’m going to do a quick recap and bring up things I want to share. I will also be sharing with y’all what I got for Christmas. Not gonna brag about what I got, just thought it would be fun to share with y’all!

With that, thank all y’all for reading today’s post! Hope your days are filled with cozy blankets and warm hot cocoa.

With A Spoonful of Sweetness, Rachel
