Not Much Happened Over the Weekend for Me

Good mornin’, y’all!
Hey y’all! Today’s post is comin’ to y’all at a different time because I’ve got somethin’ I have to go to at 1pm. Check back in on Wednesday to see what I was doin’! Well, today I’ve got one of my homemade sodas and some Avatar music in the background. Take a seat at the kitchen table with your favorite warm drink and let’s get to catchin’ up!

Friday 1/9

Today I actually got up at a good time! Slowly but surely, I’m getting up when I want to instead of sleeping in! After getting up, I did a few things around the house. Thing is, I forgot to write down just what I did today. All I know is that I stayed home all day.

But in the evening, Hubby and I thought it would be fun to go get some donuts. We got in the car and did just that. We went to our local Raley’s and got 4 donuts, some ice cream to go with them, and a few other things we needed.

After coming home and eating our sweet treat, we got ready and went to bed.

Short wrap up for today, but it’s hard to remember what you did 3 days ago. Haha!

Saturday 1/10

Today I got up before it was even light outside. Not planned, but it happened. Hubby and I got up at 5:30am. I had woken up from some pain and discomfort, and we decided to stay up. We don’t regret doing it at all. It was surprisingly nice to get up so early.

After getting up though, I went to the couch, grabbed my favorite blanket and turned on the TV. After a half hour, I was conked out sleeping on the couch. I slept for about an hour. Getting up early was nice but having that cat nap was also very nice.

After waking up from my nap, Hubby and I went to Costco and Walmart for some groceries. We don’t go shopping together normally, but it was sweet being able to go with him.

When we came home, I put the groceries away. Every month when I get more frozens, I have to play Tetris to get everything inside it to fit. And surprisingly I really enjoy doing it. Haha!

When I finished putting the groceries away, I had to make some more Santa Maria Rub. And I thought I would film and post it to the blog’s Instagram. Go check out the blog’s Instagram to see how to make Santa Maria Rub yourself!

After editing and posting, I wrapped my dad’s birthday present. After doing so, I went to work on the library Lego. Same one I fangirled about in my last post. I’m still working on it currently as of 1/12, but it is just so cool.

When it was time, Hubby and I got ready and headed over to my parents. We were celebrating my dad’s birthday and hanging out with the family.

After hanging out and laughing together, Hubby said goodbye and headed home. When we got home, we got ready and went to bed.

Sunday 1/11

Today is also a short day. Sorry y’all, just don’t do much on Sundays.

Hubby and I got up at a good time and hung out for a bit. Doing our separate things. When it was time, we got ready and headed to church. The sermon was very well done and I really enjoyed it.

After church, Hubby had a church meeting to go to, and I stayed in the truck in the parking lot. On days like these, I will bring a snack and something to do while he has his meeting. Today for a snack, I brought some apple sauce and yogurt. And for what I brought to pass the time, I brought my Sunrise on the Reaping book. It is so stinkin’ good, I don’t even know where to begin. For those who don’t know, Sunrise on the Reaping is part of the Hunger Games universe and story. I keep finding parallels in SOTR that are also in the Hunger Games trilogy. It’s so cool to see everything connect and come together. And make confusing things make sense.

When Hubby was done with his meeting, we went home and hung out with each other for a bit before working on our separate things. I went to my computer to continue my Lego library, and he stayed on the couch with his laptop working on his things. And when it was time, we got ready and went to bed.

A Little Encouragement

Today’s Bible verse is Titus 2:3-4:
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children.”

Hope y’all enjoyed reading today’s blog! So sorry this one is short. We tend not to do much on the weekends. And if we do, it’s usually one thing. Haha! Hope y’all have a cozy and enjoyable rest of your day!

With a Spoonful of Sweetness, Rachel

Photos!

Unfortunately there are no photos for today’s post. Again, just didn’t do much this past weekend!
