NEW POST! Building Lego and Not Much Else
Good afternoon, y’all!
Hey y’all! Hope you are all having a great first half of your days! Today, I’m sippin’ on one of my homemade sodas, Raspberry Lemonade flavor, and listing to some more Disney Lofi. Gotta tell y’all, this kind of music has me in a choke hold right now! Grab your fuzziest blanket, a warm drink, and let’s chat!
Monday 1/12
Today I got up at 7am (finally getting up early!) and Hubby was already gone. He was working out early with a friend. So it was just me and the animals!
After getting up, I fed and took out Tucker. I also made sure to give Banjo a loving face squeeze and many kisses. Which he loved oh-so-much. Haha!
When I finished with the animals, I started writing the blog post for the day. While I was writing, Hubby came home, we said hi, and he got started on his stuff he had to work on. After an hour or so, I finished the post and had to post it early. At 8am ish. I usually post at 1pm PST, but I had something I was going to at 1pm. I also told y’all you would find out what I was doing that made me post so early. Don’t worry, that’s coming up!
After posting, I still had some time to kill, and I spent it on my MOC Lego Library. I’m in the process now of finding all the brick I need on Lego Pick-A-Brick and seeing how much the total would be. To some, it would be very tedious and annoying, but I quite enjoyed it!
When it was time, Hubby and I had to get to our thing. We went by our local Raley’s and grabbed some candy. When we got to the car, I put it all in one of my old purses. One of the mini backpacks that were trendy a few years ago. After, we went to the movies, grabbed a large popcorn and slushy and we watched Avatar: Fire and Ash! Hubby has never seen the Avatar movies before, but the first one is in my top 10, maybe even top 5, favorite movies. This one, Fire and Ash, was okay. Some of the scenes I was questioning why they really had to put it in the movie, but it was fun to go on a little date with Hubby. And don’t get me wrong, the CGI and all the fight scenes were amazing. In my personal opinion, it would’ve been a little better without some of the odd scenes.
After sitting and watching Fire and Ash for 3 hours, we packed everything up and went home. It is always so odd coming out of a movie theater during the day, but it was even more weird going in at 11:30am and coming out at about 3pm. Threw us off completely. Haha!
We went home and hung out until it was time for small group. Which meant we went to our laptop and computer and continued on what we were doing before we went to the movies. And when it was time, we got ready and went to small group. For those who doesn’t know what small groups are: where some families from the church gather in one of their homes. We discuss the sermon for a bit then break out into girls and guys and we share and talk through prayer requests. I always find it very sweet being able to talk through and help girls in the group in that time. Very sweet coming alongside each other through the different things we are going through.
Small group finished and Hubby and I went home. And what did we do, class? We got ready and went to bed. Haha!
Tuesday 1/14
Today I got up on time again! So happy I’m now keeping to my realistic resolution. Haha! After getting up, I went straight to doing some chores. I started the laundry, cleaning dishes, vacuumed and picked up the living room.
I finished in just a few hours and didn’t have much else to do for the day. So, you guessed it, I went back to the MOC Lego Library. It wasn’t the best way to spend my time, but I did enjoy doing it. Although, because I worked on it literally all day, it felt more like a chore or work. Because I realized I need more to do during the day, I’m going to be filling my days with something fun that I will be sharing with y’all soon! If you want to be the first to see what it is, follow the blog Instagram! I also post when the blog posts are live and some other fun things that are going on in my small and simple life.
After working on Lego for 4-5 hours (I know it’s bad, but we’re gonna fix it!) Hubby and I got ready to go out to dinner with family. My litter brother currently goes to college out of state and his Christmas break is almost up. So we had a little final get together before he had to leave. It was a sweet time being able to hang out and talk with my lil bro while he was back home for a short time. Catching up with how college life and his friends are over there. Nice to know he’s got a good group of friends surrounding him there and here at home.
When we said our final goodbyes after dinner, Hubby and I headed home. We had a few hours left of the day, so we again went to our separate devises and worked. When it was time, we got ready and went to bed.
A Little Encouragement
Today’s Bible verse is Proverbs 31:27:
“She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
(Tryin’ to work on that last part. Haha.)
Well, there was my last 2 days! Hope y’all have a cozy and safe rest of your days! Hope y’all can be productive and not sit around all day on our device. Whether it be doom scrolling or being on your favorite website for too long. Go out and enjoy the outdoors or your family. Y’all have better ways to spend your time rather than being glued to your devises all day. Don’t do what I did these last 2 days. Go outside and have fun!
P.S. Tomorrow is a newsletter day!
If y’all want a little extra from me, subscribe below to The Sugar Bowl! I send out a newsletter on the first and third Thursdays of the month—the first is always a family recipe with a fun story, and the third is a rant or something fun I wanna chat about. And tomorrow is a rant day! Hope to see y’all there! :)
With a Spoonful of Sweetness, Rachel
Photos!
Sorry y’all, no photos for this post. That’s what happens when I’m on my computer all day. :,)
