Longer Than Usual, But I Think Y’all Will Still Like It!

Good afternoon, y’all!
Hey y’all! Today’s post is a little different. Because I couldn’t post anything on Monday (y’all will see why soon!), I am now putting together a bunch of days for y’all. Y’all are going to get Friday (1/23) to Tuesday (1/28). Much like I did for Christmas, I’m going to give the main points (and some details) from these couple of days. It is going to be a lengthy post, but I have a feeling all y’all won’t mind!

This morning, I am drinking some homemade lemonade I made yesterday and for a snack I have a granola bar. Not much, but still good. I am also listening to some Disneyland Soundscape. Brings me right into the parks! Grab your favorite blanket, a warm drink and let’s get to catchin’ up on these last 5 days!

Friday 1/23

To be completely honest, I don’t remember what I did today. Opps! I do remember 2 things I did though. I took Mr. Tuck to the park, and I also started making more costumes for my Big Mouth Billy Bass. Sounds odd, but yes, I did. I’ll have pictures of the finished product at the end of this post! I also posted about Tuck runnin’ around at the park. Here is that post if you want to see a little puppy runnin’ his heart out!

Saturday 1/24

All I remember doing today was making more costumes for my Big Mouth Billy Bass. Haha! But I do know they came out so good!

Sunday 1/25

Today I know just a bit more about what I did. Hubby and I got up and got ready for church. We went and the sermon was great. Loved it!

We got out to the car and drove to our local theater to meet a friend, and we all watched Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King! All 3 Lord of the Rings movies were back in theaters for their 25th anniversary. We couldn’t make it to the other 2 movie showings, but it was so cool to see at least one of them in theaters. The 3 of us weren’t born yet when they did come out, and I know Hubby and his friend were over the moon about it and were oh so excited to see it.

When the 4 HOUR MOVIE (yes, Hubby was complaining about watching my 3-hour movie, aka Avatar, but was happy to sit through a 4-hour movie lol) was done, we said our goodbyes and Hubby and I went back home.

I don’t remember what we did at home, but I think we just hung out until it was time for bed.

Really gotta start remembering to write stuff down when I/we do stuff. Lol.

Monday 1/26

Today, Hubby and I had to get up early. We were going over to my grandma’s home to help her organize and clean out her garage. When driving there, I looked at my phone, and I saw I got an email inviting me to an interview for a place I applied for! If y’all don’t know, Hubby and I need just a little extra cash, so we thought I should get a low effort and time job so that I can still do the things that need to be done at home. My interview is on Thursday and I can’t wait!

When getting to my grandma’s, we got straight to work. Pulling and going through every single box. After a few hours in, I had to go grocery shopping and grab a few things for later. I then brought them to our home, then went to Taco Bell to pick up our lunch. I drove back to my grandma’s and she and Hubby got so much done! After eating, we were right back to work. We will still have to finish it another day, but a lot of headway was made!

Later in the afternoon, Hubby and I had to go home to start making dinner for our friends who just had a baby! We decided to make breakfast for dinner for them. But not just an ordinary breakfast. We made them a crape bar! We finished cooking and brought all of the hot food over to their home. We got there, they ate, I held their baby, and the night was filled with laughter and conversation. It was a great time being able to catch up with our friends.

When it was time, Hubby and I said our goodbyes and went home. And we crashed when we did. We did so much today and though it was fulfilling, it was a lot. Haha!

Needless to say, we got ready and went straight to bed.

Tuesday 1/27

Today I know all that I did. I got up WAY too late. I think because of all I did yesterday, my body needed a bit more rest. I got up, fed and took out Tuck, and made breakfast for myself. I made some scrambled eggs with breakfast sausage. So good.

I texted a few friends back for plans we had for later this week, and I started to conquer yet another Dish Mountain. Aka, I had a pile of dishes ready to be cleaned in my sink. It got so bad in just a few hours the night before because Hubby and I were making anything and everything for our friends. It took maybe an hour or so, but I got as much as I could done! I also made sure to clean the rest of the dishes that couldn’t make it on the dish drying rack so I wouldn’t have to clean much when it was ready to switch out the dishes.

I then decided it was about time to clean out my fridge. It was mostly not organized, and it was getting hard to put new food in. So, I threw out what needed to be and organized the rest. After, I made some lemonade and refilled the mayo in the squeeze container. I personally like having the squeeze container more for my mayo rather than having a jar that you need to use a knife for getting out. I cleaned the container with a light about of soap and a lot of water. Once it was cleaned, I put the new mayo in.

I then took Tucker out to the park for a bit and came back to start another load of laundry. After doing everything I felt so bored. I wanted to do something, but I just didn’t know what. I then remembered I had a cake box mix in my cupboard and had a bright idea. What if I made cake pops? I made the cake, made the icing and had to stop for the night. It was perfect though, because the cake balls had to be in the fridge to harden up.

Hubby came home while I was rolling the cake into balls and we talked for a bit while I finished up. We had dinner, hung out, went to grab something from a friends house, came back and went to bed.

A Little Encouragement

Today’s Bible verse is Proverbs 31:27:
“She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”

Well, thank all y’all for reading today’s lengthy post! I hope y’all enjoyed reading it! If I do end up getting this job (or a different one), I will still be posting here! We may need a schedule change for when I post, but I won’t stop! Hope to see you back here on Friday!

With a Spoonful of Sweetness, Rachel
