Can’t Think Of a Title, so I Guess This Will Be It

Good afternoon, y’all!
Hey y’all! Hope your day is going well so far! This morning, I’m drinking another one of the Donut Shop Iced Refreshers in the flavor strawberry. (Here is the pack with the other flavors for y’all.) This one is my favorite out of the ones they offer. For the background music, I have some Soft Disney Piano music. Without further ado, grab your favorite drink, grab a chair and let’s chit chat!

Wednesday 2/4

This morning, I got up and did the usual things. I fed Tucker and took him outside. I then made some breakfast, which was eggs, breakfast sausage and some mild sauce, and ate. After eating, I got started on writing the blog post for the day.

While I was waiting to post the blog post for the day, I did a few chores. I put away and cleaned the dishes, I cleaned/picked up the kitchen and vacuumed the home. I then edited and posted a reel for the blog Instagram. If you didn’t know or you love my blog, it had its own Instagram! If you want to go and follow, click here to go and do that!

After posting a reel, I went to pick up the living room as well. I then realized Tucker hasn’t been out to run around in a few days. I put on his harness and leash, and we went to the field. It’s always so much fun taking him there, but the excitement ends shortly thereafter. This dude will run after a stick and do zoomies for maybe 8-10 minutes before taking his stick, laying down in the grass, and just chewing it to shreds. If I take it from him and throw it, he’ll grab it, lay down, and continue chewing it till there is no stick left to chew. Haha!

I would usually walk him or play with him more than I did today, but we wrapped it up sooner than usual. Usually, Hubby and I go together with him, and we bring a bat and tennis ball for us to play around with while Tucker chews every stick he can find into nothing. But because I didn’t have Hubby with me, we didn’t stay for as long. Which is totally fine, just means we need to get this boy out again soon!

We walked around the field and back home. When we got home, I made some chocolate frosting. I’ve been craving some sort of sweet lately and have been making them for myself.

When I made my sugar-filled treat, I sat down and watched some YouTube. I definitely could have done some small things around the home, but I haven’t been feeling great lately. When I start to not feel good during the month, I don’t tell myself I could be doing X, Y or Z right now, but I tell myself what I have done today. I did some chores, I took out the dog, etc. There are things that don’t need to be done right away when you don’t feel great. It’s great I did some of the core chores, but that doesn’t mean I have to clean every nook and cranny in my home when I don’t feel great. I just want to do the minimum and chill on the couch for the rest of the day.

Any who, when I was feeling better, I got up and started on making some chocolate ice cream for Hubby and I for when he came home. He’s been asking me to make more, so I thought, why not today. I also made some whipped cream while I was waiting!

I was also getting quite bored and had been watching the hair side of YouTube. Which made me want to do something with my hair. And I decided I would curl it, but properly. I first washed my hair, dried it, got out my curling iron, and went to town! I also made sure to take out my bangs to curl with a velcro roller. I did just that before I curled the rest of my hair. I also made sure to pin up the curls when they came out of the curling iron because I wanted to have them keep the shape they just got from the curler. When they were cooled, I hit them with the cool setting from my hairdryer to make sure they were. I then took them out, combed through them with my wide toothed comb and wow did I love it. I always loved the distinct curls when I was younger, but now I think I love the combed-out ones more now! Highly recommend y’all try it sometime!

When Hubby came home, we hung out and talked and had our ice cream. It’s nice to be able to talk and hang out with your spouse.

But, when the clock tolled 9:30PM, we got ready and went to bed.

Thursday 2/5

This morning, I did the same routine. Got up, fed and took out Tucker. After coming back inside I got started on writing the newsletter for the day. If you haven’t heard, I have a blog and a newsletter! Either scroll down to the bottom of this page or click here!

When I finished writing the newsletter, I wasn’t feeling so good. Unlike yesterday, I couldn’t do any chores. The dishes were fine to leave, the laundry was done, etc. I laid on the couch for most of the day. Getting up to make lunch or get water.

I try and keep busy and not be in front of the TV most days, but I only make the exception to do so when I don’t feel good or have finished with all of the housework. After most of the day had gone by, Hubby came home to say hi and grab a few tools before going back out again. While he was home though, my mom came. We usually hang out every other Thursday, but we haven’t been able to. But now we can!

She brought McDonald’s and her, and I ate and talked for the rest of the night. There is something just so sweet being able to talk and reconnect with my mom. When she got to the house though, I felt instantly better. I don’t know if I just needed some human interaction or just seeing my mom, but I was able to hang out with her and chat until she had to leave.

When it was late enough, mom went home and I went back to YouTube. Hubby got home shortly after and we hung out more. We don’t get long periods of time to hang out and chat with each other, but when the opportunities come along, we make sure to take them.

And when it was time, we got ready and went to bed.

A Little Encouragement

Today’s Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:5:
“I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.”

Thank you to all y’all for reading today’s post! I hope you enjoyed reading it and hope to see y’all on Monday 2/9 for the next one!

With a Spoonful of Sugar, Rachel
