Waking Up Late and Headed Straight to Legos

Good afternoon, y’all!
Hey y’all! It’s crazy it’s already the first of December! Today’s drink is a crisp Dr. Pepper and we’ve got come good ‘ol Christmas music in the background! I always love this time of year and the music adds on an even better layer of Christmas. So, grab your favorite drink, pull up a chair, and lets chat!

I would also like to apologize because this post it coming to y’all so late. It was a mixture of not getting up right away and having plans. Y’all will get the scoop on Wednesday. Haha! I’m sorry for not posting right on time, but lets get to chattin’ while we still can!

Friday 11/28

This will be a trend through out these 3 days, but I woke up late again. I’ve already said this in a handful of other posts, but I need to be more disciplined to get up when my alarm goes off. Imma try something I’ve seen on YouTube and see if that works.

After getting up I got something to eat for breakfast and started to write my blog for the day. After writing, Hubby and I went to our house to take down Fall decorations and put up Christmas decorations. My family has a tradition where we don’t decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. And I held that tradition for the last two years. Very proud of myself. Haha!

Hubby had to leave part way through for work and I kept workin’ taking things down and putting things up. Our place isn’t finished, but it is nice to have it ready for Christmas. And it’s not like were living there right now. If we were, I would want to get it all up to enjoy it. But, we’re at his aunt and uncles and their home is decorated. So I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much.

After decorating, I went to my parents to hang out and chat with them. They also have the tradition of making homemade clam chowder the evening they finish putting Christmas decorations up. My grandparents came too and Hubby did eventually (work got in the way of that). After we were all there for a few hours talking and eating, Hubby and I went back to our “family Airbnb”, got ready and went to bed.

Saturday 11/29

Today I actually got up at a reasonable time! Although, it was from the efforts of the dogs I got up when I did. I got up at 7am because both dogs were barking like the house was on fire.

After feeding and letting out the ferocious beasts, I made some pizza eggs. I believe I said how to make them before, but all you do is cut some pizza into bite size pieces. Then scramble them in your eggs as normal. Super good, but super controversial. Haha!

After eating, I did some crafting. I made a winter wonderland with a snowman and a beaver we already had. I’ll put a picture of the final thing at the end of this post! I had some leftover clam chowder for lunch while admiring my creation.

But I tried to film it and wanted to potentially post it on a YouTube account I would’ve made for this blog. But when trying to edit it, it went over pretty poorly. I wasn’t able to do what I wanted and ended up giving up on it. And something that came out of it not working, I was really sad and just bleh from it.

I do think it would be a fun thing to do for myself and y’all is film things I don’t talk about in depth in my blogs. I feel like it would be fun for both of us.

I decided to go back to the couch and watch some more YouTube. Samantha Jo to be exact. I made some more of my LEGO MOCS and had a second round of clam chowder.

Hubby had come home and I told him I really wanted Chipotle. So he went out and got me some. He’s such a loving and amazing husband. I don’t know what I’d do without him. After coming back, we ate and watched YouTube. I put on a funny animal compilation on the TV and we were laughing and watching. Part way through Hubby made the protest that we have some Dr. Pepper floats. He made some and we sat with them in front of the TV with the funny animal compilation goin on.

After we had finished and it was the time to go to bed, we got ready and did just that.

Sunday 11/30

Guess what happened again! Yes, I got up late. Usually we would go to the 10:30 church service, but we decided to go to the 12:30 one. Before going, I had breakfast and chilled on the couch. Not much to report. When it was time, we got ready for church and went! The sermon was great and loved being with the church body.

After church, Hubby and I came back to our “Family Airbnb”. I mostly just hung out, built more LEGO and had YouTube in the background. For lunch I finished off the clam chowder we got from my parents. For the rest of the day I continued on my LEGOs and YouTube.

When it got more into the night, Hubby and I put on Brother Bear 2. We had already watched the first one, but were curious about the second. Wasn’t bad, but we agreed the first one was better. As it goes with most movies and their sequels. Part way through Hubby suggested we have some ice cream, and that is exactly what we did. I believe I’ve said this before, but we like to try and have a purposeful date night once a week, usually on the weekend. After we finished the movie, we got ready and went to bed.

A Little Encouragement

Today’s Bible verse is Jeramiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

That is it for my last 3 days. Again, I am very sorry for the later post. I will try and be better with my time in the future for all y’all! Stay safe and have a cozy evening with your loved ones!

With a Spoonful of Sweetness, Rachel

Photos!

Unfortunately I only have 1 photo to share. But I am trying to take more for y’all!
