Goin’ All Over the Place
Good afternoon, y’all!
Today’s post is a little different than the others. Well, not different for you, but for me. I’m currently at Hubby’s Aunt and Uncles watching their dog. And I had to bring Tuck with me! And they are playin’ hard outside right now. Haha! This one is also a longer one, but I think y’all will enjoy it. Today, I don’t have a drink, but I do have a fruit snack bar. For music, we are listening to a Disney playlist on my Spotify. So, with that, grab your favorite snack or drink and pull up a chair! Let’s get to chattin’!
Monday 11/24
I started my morning by writing the day’s blog post. It was a shorter writing session, but it was nice to sit and write. After writing, I went straight to my chores: I put away and cleaned dishes and picked up in the living room. Not all of my daily chores, but it worked for today.
When I finished picking up, I went to Walmart for some food things for a baby shower I was going to later in the day. For this baby shower, I was going to bring a fruit board and some sandwich sliders. I grabbed the food and bags I needed for the presents and headed home.
When coming home, I did a “trial run” with my slider idea. By “trial run” I mean I needed lunch. Haha! I bought a pack of 24 Hawaiian Rolls and I cut off 4 of them. I made the sliders I had in mind and they were amazing! Here is what put in the sandwich sliders: Hawaiian Rolls, lunch meat (some Turkey and some Ham), lettuce, mustard, mayo and cheddar cheese. Recommend for sure to make these!
After my lunch, I started putting together the crochet gifts for the moms! We were celebrating 2 women who are going to have kiddos. And now that they have gotten their presents for their little ones, I can share pics with y’all! Those will be at the bottom of this post. After putting together their presents, I got some of the food ready and put it all in the car. I then got dressed and left to get there early so I would have time to prepare the food at the home we were gathering at. It was such a great get together with the girls and be able to celebrate the moms and babies to come.
When it was all said and done, I grabbed my things, went home and crashed.
Tuesday 11/25
Today started later than I’d hoped. I’d been doing well at waking up around 8:30-9am, but lately it’s been slipping to 10am. I definitely need more discipline getting up.
After getting up, I grabbed somethin to eat and started on chores: laundry, put away and washed dishes, vacuumed and a deep pick up. There have been some things staying past their welcome in our living room, and it was so nice to get them out. One of those being some wall art I needed to hang. For how I hung it up without any extra holes in the wall, I will put an extra segment at the end of this post for how I did it. Of course, with pictures.
After everything was tidy, I had a late lunch. Pretty sure it was more sliders. Then I started thinking about how to decorate the top of my piano. I was going through some inspo and noticed a lot fo people put a lamp on their. So I borrowed one from another area of the living room. That left a corner darker than usual, so off to Amazon I went! I found a wireless lamp that looks perfect! I added to my Christmas list since it’s nothing I need right away, bit it’s such a cute little light.
While I was already on Amazon, I ordered Hubby’s Christmas present. Can’t spill the details because he reads these, but I feel confident he’s going to love it!
After ordering, I worked on Hubby’s logo for his company. It felt like I was working on it for a long time, but it actually was only something like 20 minutes and it was done. When the logo was what we wanted it to be, I went back to my current obsession: building LEGO. It’s surprisingly calming to me. Haha! In the middle of building, I made dinner. I completely forgot to take pics of it, but we had bone-in country pork ribs. And they were good. I do feel I have to cut back on the amount of spices, but they were so good. Maybe I can do a newsletter for them one of these days. While those were baking, I went back to LEGO until it was done. Hubby was home by then and we ate.
After eating, we went to Lowe’s together. He needed some tools for a job today (11/26) and wanted me to come. So I did, and am so excited I did! I completely forgot stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s had really cute Christmas stuff. And I made sure to grab some of it! Haha! There will be pictures of what I got at the bottom of this post.
On our way home, we stopped my McDonalds and got a large Dr. Pepper. We went home, I made Hubby a sandwich while he took Tucker to the baseball field to get his zoomies out. When I finished the sandwich, they weren’t home yet, so I went back to my LEGO. When they came back and Hubby had his sandwich, we got ready and went to bed.
I do regret not reading over the last few days, but hope to do so soon!
A Little Encouragement
Today’s Bible verse is Matthew 11:28-29:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Thank all y’all for reading todays post! I hope to catch y’all in the next one!
With a Spoonful of Sweetness, Rachel

Here is how I hung up my frame!
Materials you will need:
Frame you are hanging up
Paper of some kind
I’m using leftover packing paper, but any paper works
This works best because it won’t damage your wall or item you’re hanging
Trace your frame
Lay your frame on the paper and trace around it with a pen. Avoid using a Sharpie because it can bleed and mark up your frame.
Cut out your template
Cut along the outline you just traced. This paper shape will act as your placement guide.
Mark the hanger position
This part is a little tricky:
Place a strip of blue take directly over the hanger on the back of your frame. Put the edge of the tape flush with the flat part of the hanger
Press the tape so it sticks to the hanger
Mark on the tape where the hanger’s “teeth” are
Also make the edges of the frame onto the tape. This helps you align it accurately on your paper template
Transfer the tape to your paper template
Peel and tape off the frame and stick it onto your paper cut out
Line up the marks on the tape with the edges of the paper
Since mine is a circle, I matched the curved marks on the tape to the curved edge of the paper
Place your paper template on the wall
Use some folded over painters tape to make it double sided. Put a bit of it on the back of the paper and position it where you want your frame to hang.
Hammer the nail
Hammer a nail right through the mark you made for the center of the hanger teeth
Once the nail is in, rip the paper away.
If the nail comes out with the paper, no worries. You’ll already have the hole as your guide
Hanging your frame
Pop your frame onto the nail and you’re done!
