Getting Up Early Every Day and Putting Up the Christmas Tree!
Good afternoon, y’all!
Hey y’all! Hope all y’all are having a fantastic start to your day. Today I don’t have a drink or snack with me, but I do have Tucker at my side. Grab a warm drink, pull up a chair and let’s get to it!
Friday 12/5
My getting up early has gone so well! Today I got up at 7:30am and hung out and chatted with Hubby. It’s so nice just hanging out and chatting with your partner. It’s nice to stop and just talk for a while. I really enjoyed it.
After talking, we got up and made some breakfast. After making it, I sat down and enjoyed it with some YouTube in the background. After eating, I got started on writing the blog for today. If you missed Friday’s blog post, you could go back and read it! I had to write for 3 days in a row. I had Wednesday’s blog post, Thursday’s newsletter and today’s blog. I really did enjoy writing so much. Speaking of the newsletter, I have one called The Sugar Bowl! After writing, I had to get to cleaning. We were still staying at the “Family Airbnb” (aka aunt and uncles) and they were coming home later in the evening. But I wanted to get an early jump on it, and it paid off! I cleaned everything we touched: kitchen, living room, laundry room, did laundry, bathroom, guest room, backyard and mopped/vacuumed the floors. I really got my cleaning workout in! When I finished it was around 7pm and was waiting for some laundry to finish. While I was waiting, I decided to read Sunrise On The Reaping. I brought a book the day before and didn’t read it, but I was so happy I had time now to do so. After the laundry finished, I packed up all our stuff into the car, got Tuck, and went home. It was nice to stay at their home, but it is aways so nice to come back to your own.
After coming home, I started to unpack everything. Hubby came home and we went out to get some dinner. Because we weren’t home, we didn’t have much. We went to McDonald’s, back home and we ate in the car. It was nice to hang out and talk with each other. After eating, we got ready and went to bed.
Saturday 12/6
Today I got up early again! I am so happy this is becoming a solid habit for me. After I got up, I hung out with Hubby for a bit before getting the Christmas tree out of the truck with him. We went to a moving sale of an old teacher of his and we found this amazing 7-foot tree! It isn’t real, which kinda sucks, but it is so nice to have to worry about spending upwards of 75-90 dollars on a tree that is gonna die shortly after the new year.
I wanted to clean today and my motivation was to put the tree up. I told myself that if I cleaned the whole house, I would be able to put up the tree. So, I got started! I started laundry, picked up the entire house, cleaned dishes and vacuumed. It was a while to do the whole house, but it was nice to have a clean house. Haha! After I cleaned the house, I put up the tree! It wasn’t too bad, but I decided to wait for when Hubby had a chance to decorate it. He and I wanted to decorate it together, so we decided to wait until we had time to.
After I cleaned, I had more cleaning to do. Haha! I had to take a bunch of boxes to our storage unit. I packed everything up and went. I came back home, packed and unloaded some things. I realized we were missing some Christmas décor and they were still in the unit. After I unloaded and reloaded the car, I took a short lunch break. When I was done, I was back at it!
When I was done with the storage unit, I went by Walmart to get a few things for dinner. After I got what I needed, I came home and made dinner. It wasn’t all that great, but I think I swapped out an ingredient for something else. Not a good call. I tried to eat it but ended up not being able to. I resorted to something else we had in the fridge and watched YouTube while waiting for Hubby to come one. When he did, we sat and talked while he ate. And soon thereafter, we got ready and went to bed.
Sunday 12/7
This morning, I got up late. Around 9:30ish. Hubby and I were up late the night before, and we got some sleep. We ended up going to the 12:30 service and it was so good.
But before going to church, we hung out on the couch, and I watched YouTube while eating pizza. We didn’t have much food in the house because we were staying at the “Family Airbnb” for so long, so frozen pizza it is! After eating, we got ready and went to church.
After we came home, changed, and went to Hubby’s parents to put something together. I think he needed to relight their water heater. After he was done with that, we went to my parents’ house. They are currently out of town, actually they’re in Walt Disney World (where I would like to also be haha!) and my mom told me we could come over anything while they’re gone. I made a batch of cookies and Hubby caught up on some schoolwork for college. I have much more to make today (12/8) for cookie boxes for friends and family. But I really enjoy doing it.
When it was time, we packed everything up, went home and went to bed!
